McDonald's Chicken McNuggets found to contain mysterious fibers, hair-like structures

(NaturalNews) Today we announce the first investigation conducted at the Natural News Forensic Food Laboratory, the new science-based research branch of Natural News where we put foods under the microscope and find out what's really there.

Earlier today I purchased a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets from a McDonald's restaurant in Austin, Texas. Under carefully controlled conditions, I then examined the Chicken McNuggets under a high-powered digital microscope, expecting to see only processed chicken bits and a fried outer coating. But what I found instead shocked even me. Climate Change Seen Behind Ancient Civilizations' Fall..

A cold, dry spell that lasted hundreds of years may have driven the collapse of Eastern Mediterranean civilizations in the 13th century BC, researchers in France said Wednesday. In the Late Bronze Age, powerful kingdoms spanned lands that are now Egypt, Greece, Cyprus, Syria, Turkey, Israel and the Palestinian territories, but they collapsed suddenly around 1200 BC.Archeologists have long debated the reasons behind their fall, often citing economic factors. But in the past few years, more research has come to light indicating that natural factors, including a wintry drought, may have dried up agriculture, caused famine and forced people into war. http://www.naharnet.com/stories/en/94227

A Chinese zoo's supposed "African lion" was exposed as a fraud when the dog used as a substitute started barking. The zoo in the People's Park of Luohe, in the central province of Henan, replaced exotic exhibits with common species, according to the state-run Beijing Youth Daily. It quoted a customer surnamed Liu who wanted to show her son the different sounds animals made -- but he pointed out that the animal in the cage labelled "African lion" was barking. The beast was in fact a Tibetan mastiff -- a large and long-haired breed of dog.

Depressed? Dont go shopping - Shopping is a 'loop of loneliness,' study finds

Sad shoppers are getting sadder.

Findings from a new study show when we're feeling blue and socially isolated, we shop. Shopping, meanwhile, makes us even more depressed and alone. To fix it, we shop—and the vicious cycle continues. But there's hope. It turns out there are three types of materialists in this world—and for one of them, shopping is a "virtuous" cycle that actually decreases loneliness over time. http://www.cnbc.com/id/100962304

STUDY: FACEBOOK Makes People Feel Worse About Life

A new study shows that Facebook may help people feel connected, but it doesn’t make them any happier. In fact, according to the research, which was conducted by the University of Michigan, Facebook use actually predicts a decline in a person’s well-being.The study used 82 young adults, all of whom had smartphones and Facebook accounts. The researchers then used experience-sampling to measure how the users think, felt and behaved by texting them at random times five days a week for two weeks. Each text contained a link to an online survey with five questions, including how the Facebook user felt at that moment, how worried he/she was and how lonely the user felt at that time. http://philadelphia.cbslocal.com/2013/08/14/study-facebook-use-predicts-decline-in-happiness/

Obama's Former Bodyman: President Left Situation Room to Play '15 Games' of Cards During Day of Bin Laden Raid

On the day Navy SEALs were raiding Osama bin Laden’s compound in Pakistan and killing the 9/11 mastermind, President Obama didn’t spend every moment in the White House situation room. Instead, the commander in chief played cards in a private dining room that night, too — about 15 games of spades, in fact, his former personal assistant Reggie Love recently told a UCLA forum.

Beware of blue BMW drivers who really are the most aggressive and more prone to road rage when they get behind the wheel

Men who drive blue BMWs are more likely to be aggressive than motorists in any other car, a study claims. And the peak time for drivers to get angry is 5.45pm on a Friday as they fight the rush-hour – followed by the dismal Monday morning commute.

The likeliest road rage culprits are men aged 35-50 with blue BMW cars, the study of 2,837 motorists found. Drivers also reported run-ins with owners of Land Rovers, Audis, Subarus and Vauxhalls.

Billionaire to unveil '5th mode' of transport

'Cross between Concorde, a rail gun and an air hockey table'

It is called “The Hyperloop” and, according to the designer, it will be a revolutionary “fifth mode” of transport, eclipsing trains, planes, boats and automobiles.

The “cross between Concorde, a rail gun and an air hockey table” will deliver passengers between U.S. cities faster than the speed of sound.

The history of transport is replete with dreamers who have concocted such schemes for getting people from A to B in previously unimagined haste. And many of them have remained just that, impractical ideas on a drawing board that will never see the light of day.

On Monday, to international fanfare, Musk unveiled the design of his Hyperloop, a $6-billion high-speed transit system powered by solar energy. The line would travel along interstates 5 and 580 at speeds of up to 760 miles per hour and have the feel of an airliner, Musk said. Capsules would hold 28 people each.

Oprah’s racism claims ‘absurd,’ shop saleswoman says...

Ms. Winfrey is not telling the truth about the encounter, she said, according to the Daily Mail. The woman said that she treated Ms. Winfrey like any other customer, but that perhaps her “OK but not excellent” English-speaking skills contributed to the misunderstanding.

“It is absolutely not true that I declined to show her the bag on racist grounds,” the woman said. “I even asked her if she wanted to look at the bag.”

Man in coma after black mob of 50 pummels him

A St. Paul, Minn., man is in a coma today, fighting for his life after a black mob beat him, stripped his clothes off and left him for dead. Even if he recovers, he will have permanent brain damage. Ray Widstrand thought he had nothing to fear from moving into a black neighborhood on the East Side of St. Paul.

This young white guy and aspiring filmmaker thought he had nothing to fear when he decided to take a Sunday night stroll through his adopted part of town. Nothing to fear from a crowd of 50 black people fighting outside a nearby party. So he stopped to check it out. Soon, however, the mob’s attention turned on him.  http://mobile.wnd.com/2013/08/he-thought-hed-be-safe-in-black-neighborhood/

Near Death Experience: Tragic Death of Voltaire the Atheist

"… it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment”

The noted French atheist, Voltaire, died a frightening death. Let me quote for you the exact record as published

“When Voltaire felt the stroke that he realized must terminate in death, he was overpowered with remorse. He at once sent for the priest, and wanted to be ‘reconciled with the church.’ His infidel flatterers hastened to his chamber to prevent his recantation; but it was only to witness his ignominy and their own. He cursed them to their faces; and, as his distress was increased by their presence, he repeatedly and loudly exclaimed, ‘Begone! It is you that have brought me to my present condition. Leave me, I say; begone! What a wretched glory is this which you have produced to me!’“Hoping to allay his anguish by a written recantation, he had it prepared, signed it, and saw it witnessed. But it was all unavailing. For two months he was tortured with such an agony as led him at times to gnash his teeth in impotent rage against God and man. At other times in plaintive accents, he would plead, ‘O, Christ! O, Lord Jesus!’ Then, turning his face, he would cry out, ‘I must die-abandoned of God and of men!’“As his end drew near, his condition became so frightful that his infidel associates were afraid to approach his beside. Still they guarded the door, that others might not know how awfully an infidel was compelled to die. Even his nurse repeatedly said, ‘For all the wealth of Europe I would never see another infidel die.’ It was a scene of horror that lies beyond all exaggeration. Such is the well-attested end of the one who had a natural sovereignty of intellect, excellent education, great wealth, and much earthly honor.” (Dying Testimonies of Saved and Unsavedby Rev. S B Shaw, pp. 49-50.)

Study: Brain records near-death experiences in Rats...

The brain remains conscious after the heart stops beating, according to University of Michigan researchers. It may even function higher in the moments immediately following cardiac arrest than it does when the body is in a normal state.

The finding supports the shared experience of nearly 20 percent of people who have survived cardiac arrest.

These survivors report having internal visions and heightened perception, known as near-death experiences, but the scientific reality of the experience has long been debated.

'I Don't Oppose Islam as a Country': Australian Parliamentary Candidate Drops Out Following Embarrassing Religion Gaffes

Speaking with 7 News, a CNN affiliate, Australian Parliamentary Candidate recently made some curious comments about Islam and Judaism — statements deemed so absurd that they quickly went viral.

“I don’t oppose Islam as a country, but I do feel that their laws should not be welcome here in Australia,” she proclaimed.

Considering that Islam is a religion and not a country, the country chuckled. But that’s not all. She also seemingly confused Judaism and Christianity, claiming that the former is a faith system that embraces the teachings of Jesus Christ.

“Jews aren’t under haram, they have their own religion which follows Jesus Christ,” Bannister said, while seemingly speaking about Islamic dietary law (or the Koran, as it’s unclear).

When President Barack Obama goes on holiday to the seaside things can get complicated.Rooms have to be found for dozens of Secret Service agents, someone has to carry a selection of presidential basketballs, and of course the family dog needs his own state-of-the-art aircraft.

Arriving in the idyllic coastal retreat of Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts, Mr Obama left behind him in Washington D.C. high profile debates over the budget, government surveillance and his health care reforms. Instead, he will spend the next eight days playing golf, going to the beach, and buying books from the Bunch of Grapes bookstore. In the air he swapped his suit and tie for khakis and a blue shirt with rolled-up sleeves, while Mrs Obama wore a yellow-and-white summer dress.

Posting Selfies on FACEBOOK Can Negatively Affect Real-Life Relationships - Study

A new study finds that sharing, or over-sharing, your photographs and selfies on Facebook may have a significant negative impact on real-life relationships.

According to research from the University of Birmingham, University West of England and the University of Edinburgh, people who frequently post photos to Facebook can’t control how their various “friends” will perceive the posts.

“It’s worth remembering that the information we post to our ‘friends’ on Facebook, actually gets viewed by lots of different categories of people: partners; friends; family; colleagues and acquaintances,” said Dr. David Houghton, lead author of the report, told Phys.org. “And each group seems to take a different view of the information shared.”

“Our research found that those who frequently post photographs on Facebook risk damaging real-life relationships. This is because people, other than very close friends and relatives, don’t seem to relate well to those who constantly share photos of themselves.”

N.C. Man Posts Moving Poem About Going to Heaven on Facebook – Then Dies in Tragic Car Accident the Next Morning

Eternal Life

I had a dream of a place where everything was at peace. There was no more pain, no hurting or crying,A place where death forever ceased.

There was no more hunger or diseaseNor, nations rising up against each other. All pride and jealousy were swallowed up in the final battle.

The King has returned, so let us all rejoice. We all gathered there to meetAs people assembled to pay homage at His feet.

Even the creatures on earth and in heaven came to proclaimHis eternal, sweet and precious name. There we will reign with Him forevermore,As we crowned Him King of kings and Lord of lords.

I am surrounded by thousands and thousandsOf angelic hosts singing His praises.Oh, what a sweet sound which will continue throughout the ages.I turned to see our loved ones who had gone on before usWe rejoiced with each other as we joined the endless chorus.

Our new bodies, how perfect we are designed.Oh, the wisdom and knowledge of GodHow unsearchable are His ways,There will be joy and peace throughout the eternal days.

There in that holy place forever we will be,The earth shall be full of His knowledge and gloryAs waters that cover the sea.

When I woke up from that beautiful dreamI gave thanks to Jesus Christ my Savior, Who will forever reign supreme. So, read to me the Word of Life page by pageGod’s eternal love will never age.

I Corinthians 15: 51-55

Behold, I show you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the lasttrump; for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raisedincorruptible, and we shall be changed.

For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and thismortal must put on immortality.

So, when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall bebrought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowedup in victory.

O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

Romans 8: 18

For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are notworthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

Radio powerhouse Rush Limbaugh says American newspapers are dying not because of a flawed business model or the influence of the Internet, but for one reason left-leaning journalists don’t wish to admit.“When are you people gonna realize it is your content that’s being rejected? It’s your content that is your problem as much as anything else,” Limbaugh said Wednesday on his top-rated program.

Russian scientists: Earth can expect a new ice age

“Everything on Earth is cyclical — a warm period is followed by a cold one, and vice versa. We are currently in a warm period. However, unlike past periods, it is advancing too quickly. Armed Husband Dishes Out 'Lethal Dose of Texas Justice' After Suspects Kidnap Him and His Wife, Then Force Them to Rob Bank

A pair of suspected criminals got what the Huffington Post described as a “lethal dose of Texas justice” last week after allegedly kidnapping a couple and then forcing them to rob a bank.

After the robbery, police say the suspects — identified as 20-year-old Jordan Kutach and 21-year-old Preston Kutach — forced the husband to drive the group in his truck down Highway 71.

However, they were presumably unaware that the husband had a firearm in his car. After surreptitiously accessing it, the husband shot both suspects, seriously wounding one and killing the other.

Al Sharpton’s Long Bill of Goods, From Tawana Brawley to Primetime

Brawley was 15 years old in 1987, when she was found in her hometown of Wappingers Falls, New York, with “Bitch,” “KKK,” and “Nigger” written on her stomach, her jeans burnt in the crotch, feces in her hair, and her tennis shoes sliced open. She said that she had been abducted and raped by a group of white men.A trio of increasingly prominent, and radical, New York City black activists represented her and her family: attorneys Alton Maddox and C. Vernon Mason and the Rev. Al Sharpton. Brawley told them said that a cop had been one of her attackers, and Sharpton named that officer as Harry Crist Jr., a police officer from a nearby town who had committed suicide shortly after Brawley was found. Sharpton also named a local prosecutor, Steven Pagones, as one of the attackers. He offered no proof.Gov. Mario Cuomo dispatched a veteran prosecutor, Jack Ryan, to handle the case. Brawley and her advisers refused to cooperate in any way with Ryan and his team. “That was the decision of the lawyers,” Sharpton says defensively in the Times interview. When asked why Brawley’s team would not meet with New York State Attorney General Robert Abrams, Sharpton said it would be “like asking someone who watched someone killed in the gas chamber to sit down with Mr. Hitler.” Sharpton later accused Ryan of kicking a blind man in a scuffle with demonstrators. Ryan was nowhere near the scene. After a six-month investigation a grand jury found that the entire episode had been a hoax, with Brawley having defaced herself to avoid the wrath of her stepfather after staying out late to visit a boyfriend. http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2013/06/03/al-sharpton-s-long-bill-of-goods-from-tawana-brawley-to-primetime.html

Message decoded: 3,000-year-old text sheds light on biblical history

....If Petrovich's analysis proves true, it would be evidence of the accuracy of Old Testament tales. If Hebrew as a written language existed in the 10th century, as he says, the ancient Israelites were recording their history in real time as opposed to writing it down several hundred years later. That would make the Old Testament an historical account of real-life events.According to Petrovich, archaeologists are unwilling to call it Hebrew to avoid conflict."It's just the climate among scholars that they want to attribute as little as possible to the ancient Israelites," he said.

In Russia it is now illegal to even speak about homosexuality around minors, much less openly display gay pride.

Technically the ban is against "propaganda of nontraditional sexual relations" around minors, but the implication for openly gay individuals is clear.

Public displays of affection by gays, including holding hands or displaying symbols like a rainbow flag, are now banned. Violators face steep fines and jail time; foreigners face similar penalties plus deportation....
