STUDY: Hollywood Producing 35% More Serial Killer TV Shows...

According to a new study, seven television shows about serial killers were added, an increase of more than 35 percent.

In the wake of mass killings at Sandy Hook elementary school, a movie theater in Colorado and the Boston Marathon, some have sought to blame -- partially or in full -- the glorified violence on film and television. Seeking to add momentum to that theory is an analysis due out shortly that ridicules TV’s latest obsession: serial killers

Much of an entire generation of political talent and experience has been consumed by the Rudd/Gillard leadership feud. Evolution vs. God: Famed Evangelist Says His New Film Exposes ‘Embarrassingly Stupid’ Ideas Behind Darwinian Theory (Get a Sneak Peek)

Faith leader Ray Comfort is known for taking on controversial issues through film (you may recall the “180″ movie). And he’s done it again with his latest film project, “Evolution vs. God.” This week, the New Zealand-born evangelist spoke exclusively about it with TheBlaze.

At the heart of the short film, which will be released and available for download on July 9, is the notion that evolution, as it is currently embraced and heralded by scientists, is inaccurate and unverifiable. Naturally, believers in Darwinian theory will scoff at Comfort’s claims, but that hasn’t stopped him from producing “Evolution vs. God” in an effort to spark conversation about a highly-contentious theological issue.

He wasn’t there to rally for gun rights or support the right to bear arms. In fact, the man claims to harbor such extreme anti-gun views that he makes Piers Morgan look like author and outspoken conservative Brad Thor (sorry, Brad.)

In addition to banning all guns, the man said the U.S. should ban “lethal knives” and any other object that “can hurt anybody.” So basically, everything.

(London Telegraph) The word “husband” will in future be applied to women and the word “wife” will refer to men, the Government has decided.Civil servants have overruled the Oxford English Dictionary and hundreds years of common usage effectively abolishing the traditional meaning of the words for spouses. The landmark change is contained in the fine print of new official legal guidance drawn up for MPs and peers as the Government’s same-sex marriage bill is debated. It comes as part of a Government initiative to “clarify” what words will mean when gay marriage becomes law.But critics described it as the vocabulary of “cloud cuckoo land”.

FUNERAL HOME OFFERS DRIVE-THRU VIEWING

The drive-thru itself was an innovative concept, but at this one, it’s unlikely you can order any fries or a shake. Carl Eggleston of Farmville believes in innovation when it comes to his funeral business. After 30 years in the business, he’s seen some changes and he’s tried to be one who keeps up with the times and needs of families. Next month he’ll have cameras installed in the chapel, so services can be viewed online for family out-of-state. He’s already seen many grieving families choose to have their loved ones fingerprints made into rings, pendants and ear rings. But now he’s leading the way in Virginia with a new service, the drive-thru. “You can stay in your car and ride by this window, see your loved one–also see when the place and time of service is going to be held, on this board here–without leaving your car,” Eggleston said from the Oliver and Eggleston Funeral Establishment Funeral Home Offers Drive-Thru Viewing

Texas Carries Out Its 500th Execution Since 1982

Texas has carried out nearly 40 percent of the more than 1,300 executions in the U.S. since the Supreme Court allowed capital punishment to resume in 1976. The state’s standing stems from its size as the nation’s second-most populous state as well as its tradition of tough justice for killers.

With increased debate in recent years over wrongful convictions, some states have halted the practice entirely. However, 32 states have the death penalty on the books. Though Texas still carries out executions, lawmakers have provided more sentencing options for juries and courts have narrowed the cases for which death can be sought.

The Times wrote, “The rise in the surface temperature of earth has been markedly slower over the last 15 years than in the 20 years before that. And that lull in warming has occurred even as greenhouse gases have accumulated in the atmosphere at a record pace.”The problems with climate forecasting models weren’t mentioned either, even though a researcher at Sweden's University of Gothenburg found that many climate models couldn’t correctly model known temperatures in China. Investor’s Business Daily reported on March 28 that “Only half of the 21 analyzed climate models were able to reproduce the changes in some regions of China," he said. U2's Bono: Yes, Jesus is the Son of God

On U2′s 1983 album “War,” one of the songs was simply titled “40,” and was based on Psalm 40 from the Old Testament, with lyrics stating:

I waited patiently for the Lord

He inclined and heard my cryHe brought me up out of the pit

Out of the miry clay …He set my feet upon a rockAnd made my footsteps firm

Lewis who argued Jesus was a lunatic, liar or Lord.“When people say ‘Good teacher,’ ‘Prophet,’ ‘Really nice guy,’ … this is not how Jesus thought of himself,” Bono said. “So, you’re left with a challenge in that, which is either Jesus was who He said He was or a complete and utter nut case.”“And I believe that Jesus was, you know, the Son of God,” Bono said, according to a transcript provided to Religion News Service. “I understand that for some people and we need to … if I could be so bold, need to be really, really respectful to people who find that ridiculous.”Bono, whose real name is Paul Hewson, also discussed one of the most famous biblical characters, King David, who authored many of the Bible’s psalms, which are actually songs in the original Hebrew.“First of all, David’s a musician so I’m gonna like him,” Bono said.

Global Warming? Temperature Up 'Very Close to Zero' Over 15 Years

In a June 20 interview with Spiegel Online, German climate scientist Hans von Storch said that despite predictions of a warming planet the temperature data for the past 15 years shows an increase of 0.06 or “very close to zero.”“That hasn't happened,” Storch said.

“In fact, the increase over the last 15 years was just 0.06 degrees Celsius (0.11 degrees Fahrenheit) – a value very close to zero.”Spiegel asked Storch why the Earth’s temperature has not risen significantly in the past 15 years despite 400 billion metric tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) being emitted into the atmosphere from human activities.

Two Large Meals a Day Tops Six Mini-Meals for Weight Loss....

Eating two large meals a day yielded more weight loss than consuming six mini-meals with the same number of calories, according to a study that challenges the common wisdom on appetite control.

Over 12 weeks, people with Type 2 diabetes who ate just breakfast and lunch lost an average of 1.23 points in body mass index, or BMI, compared with a loss of 0.82 point for those who ate six smaller meals of the same nutritional and energy content. The data, in a small study involving 54 patients, were presented today at the American Diabetes Association meeting inChicago. The study builds on previous results disproving the theory that eating more frequently improves weight loss. That pattern, thought to work because it helps control appetite, was shown to produce no more weight loss than three regular meals in a 2010 study published in the British Journal of Nutrition. The latest report eliminates one additional meal. Two Large Meals a Day Tops Six Mini-Meals for Weight Loss - Bloomberg

Obama makes 'alarming call for end to #Catholic education'...'Encourages division'...

The Catholic media is up in arms over comments President Obama made during a speech while in Northern Ireland for the G8 summit.

Obama made what is described as “an alarming call for an end to Catholic education,” in spite of the fact that it is considered “a critical component of the Church.”Fr. John ZuhlsdorfPhoto credit: FacebookIn front of an audience of about 2,000 young people, including many Catholics, Obama claimed that Catholic education divides people and blocks peace, according to the Scottish Catholic Observer.“If towns remain divided—if Catholics have their schools and buildings and Protestants have theirs, if we can’t see ourselves in one another and fear or resentment are allowed to harden—that too encourages division and discourages cooperation,” Obama said. MAN CHASED BY 'MASSIVE' WOLF, TAKES PIX

'It would have been a real bad time to run out of gas'

Last Saturday, Banff mechanic Tim Bartlett was christening a new motorcycle through the Rocky Mountains when he had a rare wildlife encounter that was equal parts terrifying and enchanting. On a stretch of British Columbia’s Highway 93, a massive grey wolf emerged from the trees, lunged at his speeding ride and chased after him at full speed as he pulled away.

The story would have become little more than another legend clanging around the roadhouses of Western Canada if Mr. Bartlett had not whipped a camera out of his top pocket to record the event for posterity; capturing a series of rare snapshots that have since been beamed around the world.

Bernanke Spells "Recovery" F-A-I-L-U-R-E

We’re now five years into the worst recovery in the post-WWII period. Based simply on historical business cycles, we should already be out of recovery and into a “growth” stage for the US economy.

This should have happened even with barely any stimulus from the Fed.

Instead, the Fed has spent TRILLIONS of Dollars and failed to deliver anything resembling economic growth.

The number of people who are of working age who are actually working has barely budged since the 2009 low. Bernanke Spells "Recovery" F-A-I-L-U-R-E | Zero Hedge

‘Allahu Akbar!’: Smoking, Gun-Wielding 8-Year-Old Becomes Symbol of #Syrian Rebels

Several days ago, a photo of an 8-year-old Syrian rebel standing in front of heaps of rubble with an AK-47 slung over his shoulder went viral on the Internet.  The child appears to be smoking and is looking directly at the camera, though he seems to have little interest in it.

“It’s a picture that is both haunting and heartbreaking,” the Huffington Postwrote.

Now the U.K. Telegraph has tracked down the child, and his story is even more gut-wrenching that you may have imagined.

Does the Bible Predict God’s End-Times Destruction of Syria?

Consider Rosenberg’s track record. As TheBlaze previously reported, in January 2001, he began working on his first novel, “The Last Jihad.” The book, which is a fictional account of a U.S. war with Iraq (yes, this preceded the actual war that America launched in that region), describes the highjacking of an airliner in an attack on America.

Then, there was his second novel, “The Last Days,” which starts by recapping the death of Yasser Arafat (and published 13 months before the Palestinian leader perished). Call it coincidence or divine providence, but Rosenberg definitely seems to have a knack for clairvoyance.... more

SYRIA’S ASSAD DELIVERS CHILLING WARNING TO EUROPE & THE WORLD

Syria’s president warned that Europe “will pay a price” if it delivers weapons to the rebels fighting him, saying in an interview published Monday that arming them would backfire as the “terrorists” return to their countries with extremist ideologies.

Assad further warned that as the conflict spills into neighboring countries, blurring borders, it will set off a domino effect.

“Nobody can imagine how the region would look like in case of a redrawing of the map. That will be a map for uncounted wars in the Middle East and possibly elsewhere, that nobody can stop,” he said.

BEST Car Sale ebay ad ever? Mercedes e320 CDI For Sale

If you are looking for an immaculate, well maintained example of a Mercedes e320 CDI... you have come to the wrong place. SERIOUS BIDS ONLY. NO TIME WASTERS!

If however, you are low on self esteem, with a strapped budget, but shooting for the stars, welcome to my auction. May I present to you, one of the finest feats in Germanic engineering politely modelled by my 'more to love' missus. As you can see from the photos this car has seen things... things it cannot forget. I have owned this car for 3 years, and up to then it had been lovingly cared for and maintained. Since owning the vehicle, it has been thrashed, raced, rallied, and the interior has been smashed up in a domestic, not to mention the time my wife booted the wing because I suggested she eat a salad or two. ( please refer to photo of foot next to dent for reference) The car was lovingly cleaned in preparation for the 2012 summer olympics, and may be in need of another one now. This car has been a dream, and only broken down twice. But since it has had new brake pads, discs, thermostat, front springs, all the fuel lines replaced, and i even put some water in the squishes. as for the bad bits... there are none... just kidding there are lots. The cd changer in the boot doesn't work, but the radio does ( we have already preset the channels to suit our clientelle)
The air conditioning isn't working, but the electric windows do, so bonus. The car smokes when you boot it hard.

The rear subframe bushes could probably do with being replaced...

The good bits. Boot is big enough for 2 small or 1 big person

This car is well admired and often stopped by members of her majesty's police, who give out FREE advice concerning your drinking habits and whether or not your tires need replaced. ( which is soon by the way)

Purchase of this vehicle will result in a severe rise in the number of looks of admiration you get in your local town centre, I would personally recommend wearing a large gold plated chain, a half open shirt, shaving ones head, and wearing 1 bottle of cologne at any given time to truly get desired female attention.

The stereo system is suited to playing Russian Techno, Polish house, Bulgarian dubsteb, Romanian hard house, and turkish trance at full volume, whilst not detracting from the over glamour of the avian fecal mattered roof and rusty panels. Seriously now gentlemen. Ladies flock to this car. I'd like to say that I have customised the horn, but i haven't. It would be great if someone did. If you win this auction I will save you time, effort and eye watering hassle by telling you where i hid the sardines. This car in the limbo of being to good to break, and to bad to be fat and seen in. all questions welcomed. We do not accept food as payment, nor coupons for iceland. As for terms and conditions, we will happily airlift this car to any destination in west africa, should you be in the possession of a cheque which you have overpaid, we will happily send you the difference. If you are a diplomat or sovereign who has 46,000,000 USD, but can't access it for lack of a processing fee, please call us straight away, as I have a team of lawyers waiting for my signal to help. Get back in touch buddy, i'm worried the troops got to you. As for real terms and conditions. The car is crap. If you want it come and buy it. I guarantee 100% this car will cause you trouble, and cost you money. Do not plan on coming to try and shake us down on the price, we KNOW EVERYTHING that is wrong with this this vehicle. WE have driven the thing for 40,000 miles. We wouldn't be selling it if it was any good whatsoever... it runs. be happy...

Another Nail in the Climate Change Coffin - Prof. Murry Salby Australia

Another take in one of the most devastating and comprehensive critiques of the standard alarmist model by Prof. Murry Salby, who is a climate scientist at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia, and author of the textbook Physics of the Atmosphere and Climate, published by Cambridge University Press (last checked, a “mainstream” publisher).

Never heard of Salby before? He clearly knows what he’s talking about.
Back in April Salby argued at Helmut Schmidt University in Hamburg that “anthropogenic emissions only had a slight impact on the global CO2-concentrations. They are mainly a consequence of temperature changes.”... More

Did Mohammad teach that Muslims would be rewarded for killing?

Satan: Mohammad taught that Muslims would be rewarded for killing.

Sahih Bukhari Hadith Volume 1, Book 2, Number 35: Narrated Abu Huraira:
The Prophet said, "The person who participates in (Holy battles) in Allah's cause and nothing compels him to do so except belief in Allah and His Apostles, will be recompensed by Allah either with a reward, or booty (if he survives) or will be admitted to Paradise (if he is killed in the battle as a martyr). Had I not found it difficult for my followers, then I would not remain behind any sariya going for Jihad and I would have loved to be martyred in Allah's cause and then made alive, and then martyred and then made alive, and then again martyred in His cause."

God: Jesus Christ taught that Christians would be rewarded for pure love.
Luke 6:35 "But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil."

Jihad versus LOVE

Jihad Defined: A holy war waged on behalf of Islam as a religious duty.
Love Defined: Unselfish loyal concern for the good of another.

US: To retire securely, save like an Aussie

In the United States, fewer than half of all workers participate in an employer-sponsored retirement plan. In Australia, about 90% of the workforce has a formal retirement account. The most important difference between the two systems, as Bloomberg Business Week’s Nick Summers explains in a recent piece, is that in Australia, contributing to your account is mandatory—and most workers now put in a minimum of 9% of each paycheck. The result: A little more than 20 years after it was enacted, Australia’s Superannuation Guarantee program now has $1.52 trillion in assets, a little over half as much as the $2.8 trillion parked in American 401(k)s—in a country whose population is only one-fourteenth the size of ours.

Bible Becomes Best-Seller in 'Secular' Norway... Even beating out Fifty Shades of Grey, Many Surprised

The Bible has become the best-selling book in Norway, which some say is one of the most secular countries in Europe.  Moreover, a successful six-hour play inspired by the Bible isfurther evidence that the country has not lost its interest in religion and faith."Church attendance is a poor measure of the Norwegian state of faith," said post-doctoral fellow Thorgeir Kolshus at the University of Oslo, according to The Associated Press. "Religion is a very private thing for Norwegians."The Holy Book sold close to 160,000 copies in 2012, which some officials said is thanks to a good marketing campaign that appealed both to teenagers and adults."It's easier to read," said Helga Haugland Byfuglien, presiding bishop for the Church of Norway. "There is no over-interpretation of the text." Bible Becomes Best-Seller in 'Secular' Norway; Many Surprised

The stunning decline of Barack Obama: 2013. Ten key reasons why the Obama presidency is in meltdown

The last few weeks have been among the worst of Barack Obama’s time in office, recalling earlier periods of turmoil for the president in 2010 and2011, when his ratings also plummeted. In 2013, the situation is significantly worse for the White House, with the Obama administration engulfed in a series of major scandals (IRS persecution of conservative groups, the Benghazi debacle, and the Justice Department seizure of journalists’ phone records) that are not only eroding trust in government but also in the office of the president itself.
