China's Push Into "America's Backyard"

The United States has been quite vocal about its “pivot to Asia,” but as Washington seeks to further its influence in the Asia-Pacific, China has been quietly upping its own importance to Central and Latin America. Now China is making a push to further its engagement with countries in the Western Hemisphere, as evidenced by the announcement of a new dialogue mechanism. The Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), which met in Cuba from January 28 to 29, adopted a statement announcing the establishment of a China-CELAC Forum.

Convicted Australian terrorist flees to Syria: reports

Australian officials Sunday blamed a "fairly major breakdown" in border security for the reported escape of a convicted terrorist through Sydney Airport to join the conflict in Syria.

New South Wales Premier Barry O'Farrell expressed concern after media reports that Khaled Sharrouf, who served almost four years in prison after pleading guilty over a 2005 conspiracy to attack Sydney, had fled the country.

Sochi spotlights dark side of Putin's Russia

Islamist rebels based in the North Caucasus, where Russian federal forces are battling an escalating insurgency, have set a goal to disrupt the event.

If that was not enough to drive away visitors, a string of western statesmen from Barack Obama to his German counterpart Joachim Gauck and the UK prime minister David Cameron have decided to skip the Sochi games, apparently in protest at the Kremlin’s suppression of human rights.

Leftist Radicals Never Right About Israel

On April 30, 2013, Julia Gillard, then Australian prime minister and leader of the Labor Party, denounced the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement as “not serving the cause of peace and diplomacy for agreement on a two state solution” of the Israeli-Palestinian issue.

She was aware of a number of factors.  One was that, despite pretenses, BDS in reality aimed at targeting a whole nation, not individuals or groups responsible for any particular activities.

Secondly, she was experiencing BDS action at the University of New South Wales that had mutated from anti-Zionist rhetoric to expressions of anti-Semitism and Holocaust-denial on campus.  She was also aware of the absurd concentration of left radicals on the issue of Israel rather than on Iran, “whose regime has for decades been a patron of the darkest forces in the region.”...

A gunman killed a nun and a churchgoer, and wounded 6, in a cathedral off Russia’s east coast, state media report

There was no immediate word on a motive in the attack, which came six days after a Moscow teenager killed a teacher and a policeman and held classmates hostage in the first major school shooting in Russia.

Most of the wounded in Sunday's mid-afternoon attack were shot in the legs and their lives were not in danger, RIA cited the regional leader of the Russian Orthodox Church, Archbishop Tikhon, as saying.

Attack on electric grid raises alarm

Shooters armed with assault rifles and some knowledge of electrical utilities have prompted new worries on the vulnerability of California's vast power grid.

Rare Snowstorm Hits Japan

The last time Tokyo received this much snow was in January 1998 when 12.6 inches (32 cm) of snow fell.

A strong storm moving up the eastern coastline of Japan brought a rare, heavy snowfall Saturday into early Sunday for areas that typically don't see much in the way of snow.Tokyo is a difficult place for snow due to the high peak of Mount Fuji, just to the west of the city. It blocks a lot of the storms moving in from the west, and most storms coming in from the south and east are too warm.Tokyo received 8.7 inches (22 cm) of snow from this storm, and some of the heaviest snowfall seen was in Matsumoto, where 19.2 inches (49 cm) of snow fell. The Japan Meteorological Agency has said this is the heaviest snowfall from one storm since a storm in January 1994.Three people died with this storm so far, and more than 500 people were injured.

So was the castaway a cannibal?

The shocking rumours surrounding the disappearance of fisherman's companion

He has spent much of the week recuperating at a luxurious, government-owned beach resort, from which he will be flown home to El Salvador via Honolulu when he is deemed fit enough to travel, probably early next week. At the grieving Cordoba family’s ramshackle home, however, Ezequiel’s brother Enemias, 27, told me: ‘Before he is allowed to go back to his country, we believe he must first be brought here to meet us. If he refuses, my mother hopes to ask our governor personally to force him to come. ‘I need to look Alvarenga in the eyes as he describes how my little brother spent his last hours and minutes, and explains exactly how he died. All my family feel the same way.

Something Jehovah Witness's Will Not Tell You About The Bible They Use...

Jehovah Witness's Bible Is The New World Translation

The watch tower bible and track society's bible - A Completely Fraudulent Translation

Believe it or not, Jehovah Witnesses where brought into a  public hearing and had to confess they did know Greek or Hebrew and just made it up as they went along.. Seriously?

The watch tower bible and track society had a couple of things that hold their doctrine together

Jesus is not the God the son or the second person of the Trinity

There is no such thing as eternal punishment for the wicked (Hell)

So they translated the parts in the bible referring to this dictating what they wanted you to believe

Even Secular scholars put the New World Translation at the bottom of the barrel.

Jehovah Witnesses The watch tower bible and track society is a clearly a CULT

How Can I Witness To A Cult Member?

When talking to a cult member you keep them on one subject, and ask them ONE question.

WHO IS JESUS? great to ask this with Jehovah witnesses and Mormons.

*Note: once said by a Jehovah Witness "If you can prove to me Jesus is God i still will not worship him" sometimes you just cant get anywhere with a cult member

New surveillance technology can track everyone in an area for several hours at a time

As Americans have grown increasingly comfortable with traditional surveillance cameras, a new, far more powerful generation is being quietly deployed that can track every vehicle and person across an area the size of a small city, for several hours at a time.

[ excerpt ] ..Shooter and victim were just a pair of pixels, dark specks on a gray streetscape. Hair color, bullet wounds, even the weapon were not visible in the series of pictures taken from an airplane flying two miles above.

But what the images revealed — to a degree impossible just a few years ago — was location, mapped over time. Second by second, they showed a gang assembling, blocking off access points, sending the shooter to meet his target and taking flight after the body hit the pavement. ...http://m.washingtonpost.com/business/technology/new-surveillance-technology-can-track-everyone-in-an-area-for-several-hours-at-a-time/2014/02/05/82f1556e-876f-11e3-a5bd-844629433ba3_print.html
