Nearly half of all adult Australians have received a sexting message or photo on their mobile phone while about one in four admit to sending them to either a partner, an ex-partner, a stranger or a work colleague.
The details of Australia's sexting habits are revealed in McAfee's Lust, Relationships and Technology survey released today.
The research shows that 47 per cent of men and 38 per cent of women have received sext messages and 38 per cent had sent them.
