The Gold Coast will cop it but won't be affected by potential cyclone 'Dylan'

Bureau of Meteorology says the city would cop a fair share of bad weather this week but it was because of a high-pressure system over the Tasman Sea.

Gold Coast: BEAUTIFUL one day, perfectly rainy for the next three months

That's the prediction from weather experts who are warning Gold Coasters to keep their brollies handy until at least October.The weather bureau has forecast a "wetter than normal" July to September and a 65 per cent chance of above-average rainfall for the city and southeast Queensland.Long-range weather forecaster Haydon Walker is also predicting extended rain, warning the big wet will continue into summer and may bring a soggy Christmas.
