GFC bankruptcies - Queenslands worst postcode for bankruptcies was 4211 on the Gold Coast

Australian Government Insolvency and Trustee Service Australia statistics show the number of individual bankrupts in Ipswich's 4305 postcode increased from 95 to 110 for the 2011-12 financial year.

That was an increase of 15.8% from the previous financial year.
The state's worst postcode for bankruptcies was 4211 on the Gold Coast which had 157 bankruptcies.

Postcode 4306, incorporating suburbs such as Walloon, Ripley and Deebing Heights, showed a 25.9% rise in the same period with bankruptcies up from 27 to 34.
